The George Mason University Center for Infrastructure Protection has generously offered to host what promises to be a very interesting and informative evening featuring a presentation about the work of the GMU CIP and the main event by the VA State Fusion Center .The  GMU Critical Infrastructure Protection Program seeks to fully integrate the disciplines of law, policy, and technology for enhancing the security of cyber-networks, physical systems and economic processes supporting the nation's critical infrastructures.

The VA State Fusion Center briefing will provide InfraGard members with an understanding of the
roles the Office of Commonwealth Preparedness and the Virginia Fusion
Center play in statewide CIKR protection.  In that representatives from
multiple layers of government are reaching out to CIKR officials in an
effort to share critical information, this briefing is intended to
inform businesses (and Infragard chapters) of other available
coordination resources and the various on-going initiatives statewide.

The Virginia Fusion Center is a collaborative effort between the
Virginia Department of State Police (VSP) and the Virginia Department of
Emergency Management (VDEM), the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI),
the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Virginia National Guard
Bureau (VNGB), the Virginia Department of Fire Programs (VDFP) and
Virginia Dominion Power (VDP) to provide operational and strategic all
crimes/all hazard information and intelligence to law enforcement,
military, public safety, governmental and private industry decision
makers, as well as to the general public. The Center is located in
Richmond, Va at Va. State Police Headquarters and is co-located with the
Va. Emergency Operations Center.

InfraGard - Nations Capital Members Alliance

INCMA consists of a growing membership of professionals who are creating a more resilient critical infrastructure in the Washington, DC metro area. These include defense industrial base, information technology, water supply systems, electrical energy, emergency services, law enforcement, health systems, gas and oil, storage and delivery, transportation, banking, and telecommunications. Our membership is voluntary yet exclusive and is comprised of individuals from both the public and private sector. The main goal of the InfraGard Nations Capital chapter is to promote ongoing dialogue, education, community outreach and timely communication between public and private members. Furthermore, to achieve and sustain risk-based target levels of capability to prevent, protect against, respond to, and recover from all hazards or events, and to minimize their impact on lives, property, and the economy.  Visit us at http://www.InfraGardNationsCapital.org
